Getting Started!

Place a pizza stone in the oven and preheat to 475-500°, it is then recommended to let the stone cool for approximately half an hour. *For the below listed pizza styles a 16-20oz dough ball will be rolled into a flat circular shape in order to be topped with sauce and ingredients*

Classic Red Sauce Pizza

Red sauce is evenly dispersed around the center of the pizza, leaving appropriate room for crust to form

Bake 15-20 minutes

We begin by spreading the dough until it has formed into as flat of a circle as possible without kneading the dough too thin. We then spread our homemade red sauce around the center of the pizza, beginning at the center and slowly working our way to the exterior. Doing so should ensure the pizza cooks evenly throughout. Next for the Classic Red Sauce Pizza is the addition of shredded mozzarella, and from that point the pizzas’ creator is left to choose toppings.

The Classic Red Sauce Pizza is what comes to mind when most people think of a pizza. With one of the simplest concepts the red sauce pizza is the generic style most commonly offered in restaurants and stores worldwide. The Classic Red Sauce Pizza matches well with a multitude of toppings, one of the most common and famous being freshly sliced pepperoni.

Traditional White Pizza

A mixture of oil and crushed garlic is evenly spread across the center of the pizza, leaving appropriate room for crust to form

Bake 15-20 minutes

We begin by spreading the dough until it has formed into as flat of a circle as possible without kneading the dough too thin. We then spread our homemade white sauce around the center of the pizza, beginning at the center and slowly working our way to the exterior. Doing so should ensure the pizza cooks evenly throughout. Next for the Traditional White Pizza is the addition of shredded mozzarella, and a light coating of oregano and granulated onion.

The Traditional White Pizza has one of the simplest bases to create, with no more being needed than an oil and garlic mixture. Oregano, granulated onion and garlic are often also added after additional toppings have been placed on the pizza. Ordinarily a white pizza is best served when topped with fresh sliced tomatoes and onions, which are complimented well by the additional seasonings.

The Traditional White Pizza shown above has also added tomatoes and onions!

Classic Bleu Cheese Pizza

The mixture of bleu cheese and milk is mixed evenly throughout the center of the pizza, while leaving room for crust to form

Bake 15-20 minutes

We begin by spreading the dough until it has formed into as flat of a circle as possible without kneading the dough too thin. We then spread our homemade blue cheese sauce around the center of the pizza, beginning at the center and slowly working our way to the exterior. Doing so should ensure the pizza cooks evenly throughout. The Classic Bleu Cheese Pizza is ordinarily topped with shredded mozzarella, with a light coating of granulated garlic and oregano being added after.

The Classic Bleu Cheese Pizza has the creamiest bases of our recipes today (to reduce thickness of sauce, extra milk may be added). The bleu cheese pizza is normally paired with vegetable toppings such as onions, green peppers, tomatoes, spinach, etc. The list is endless for toppings that match well for the Buffalo favorite bleu cheese base, with a hometown favorite recipe being to add grilled chicken OR chicken fingers to their pizza.

Chipotle Chicken Ranch Pizza

Ranch dressing chipotle mixture is spread evenly around the center of the pizza, with appropriate room left for crust to form

Spicing Things Up: Bake 15-20 minutes

For those looking to be more adventurous, we have included the recipe for a Chipotle Chicken Ranch Pizza. This pizza strays away from the norm with a base that consists majority of ranch salad dressing. We begin by spreading the dough until it has formed into as flat of a circle as possible without kneading the dough too thin. Doing so should ensure the pizza cooks evenly throughout. With a ranch base the possibilities for toppings that will match well with the flavor are slightly more limited.

The Chipotle Chicken Ranch Pizza takes a different look than previous recipes we’ve looked at. This particular pizza stands apart from the rest with a shredded Mexican Style/Cheddar cheese topping as opposed to the customary mozzarella. This southern accent sets the Chipotle Chicken pizza alone among our four pizzas decorated today, and with endless seasoning possibilities the chicken can take this pizza in any direction. With a creamy ranch base this pizza blends very well with grilled chicken topping, and can be finished off with a final coating of parmesan cheese, oregano, and granulated garlic.

The pizza above added to the already flavor packed Chipotle Chicken Ranch Pizza by adding shredded bacon.
