On the other side, Duff’s rivals Anchor Bar for the title of Best Wings in Buffalo. Duff’s and Anchor Bar have faced off on TV and Duff’s narrowly pulled out a win with 3-2 blind taste off making them the superior chicken wing.
Aside from the Anchor Bar and Duff’s rivalry, Gabriel’s Gate is like a hidden treasure in Buffalo. Many people believe they have the best wings in town and it’s definitely a local hot spot! Furthermore, if you happen to stumble in the door, try their french onion soup! It’s to die for!

Starting off the list is JT’s. Located in historic Elmwood Village, JT’s urban Italian food is new to the restaurant scene in Buffalo, but has gotten great reviews! A little pricey, but definitely a fine dining must if you are in Buffalo.
Of course it’s on the list! Everyone’s favorite Italian restaurant downtown! Their “spaghetti parm” is their staple dish that can (and should be) added on to every dish! Chef’s has a wall of celebrity’s who have eaten their so their history is well established. With a second location opening up on the other side of town, Chef’s will be more accessible than ever in Buffalo!
Another great Italian place is a small locally owned Italian restaurant that not to many people know about! A true fine dining four course meal is in order when you walk into The Dove. One of the best Caesar salads I have ever had in my life and a complimentary shot of Limoncello before dinner makes it a worth while experience. Be warned, your time at The Dove is a 2+ hour experience.
Located out in Clarence, a little ways away from Buffalo is your traditional Italian experience. Handmade canolis and spumoni (Italian ice cream) capped off a great dinner that started out with the best soup I have ever had. A roasted red pepper and chicken soup with hot bread could have dinner in and of itself.
Bottomless Mimosas? Best Brunch in Buffalo!
They had me at their College Student Discount. A true brunch experience, Pano’s has bottomless mimosas on Sunday for brunch and a diverse menu to satisfy both those who prefer breakfast and those who prefer lunch. Might I recommend the french toast with raspberry mousse? It was amazing!
Located on Elmwood Ave, Hotel Henry is a national historic landmark that was formerly a 19th century insane asylum. Your traditional brunch experience in a classy elegant setting with a lot of history behind it!
A go-to brunch place if you are craving eggs Benedict! At reasonable prices, they even offer a unique rewards system that get you a free meal after 10 visits. Different specials everyday with a very friendly and attentive wait staff made it a memorable experience.
Rounding out Brunch is a higher end brunch experience with a great view of the city will make for a fun Sunday morning. Patina 250 is located on Delaware Avenue and it a tad bit pricey, but the food had its strong points and made for a great dining experience. A great spot to impress a date!

Described as “a hole in the wall, but a diamond in the rough” by a friend, Nick’s Place located on Amherst St. is a family run business with limited hours. A great display of Greek-American food, it is a great breakfast spot, but will also curb your appetite for lunch!
A trademark Brewery of Buffalo. Go to enjoy just a drink with some friends, have dinner with your family or even through a catered party downtown. Their food is amazing and the atmosphere is even better because of their amazing hospitality!
Another favorite is a high-end dining experience that will put a dent in the bank account, Buffalo Chophouse is the premier fine dining experience in downtown Buffalo! You won’t be disappointed in the food or the atmosphere of this elegant and sophisticated restaurant!
Lastly, a primarily Greek-American restaurant with a staple brunch, Kostas is a great (and CHEAP) destination loved by college restaurants and older alike because of its big portions and delicious food!
